protection for city peeps...

How many people reading this blog lives in the city? There are times where I could EASILY leave this place. Actually, my soul screams for it regularly, like I'm not meant to be here. I grew up on the beach and I can sit on the beach, watching the ocean and feel absolutely at peace. However, the bush also does me wonders. A while ago, I stayed up in Springbrook, it was many years ago, before my children. It was a little place called Lyrebird Retreat, here is the website if anyone is interested in reading about it: http://www.lyrebirdspringbrook.com/

I would have to say it's one of many amazing things I've done in my life. There was no TV, it was winter and an open fire would burn all day and night. There were no curtains or blinds on the cabin. There were lots of birds and possums and the sound of a running stream nearby. It was just very extraordinary. Leaving there after a couple of nights away and driving back to the city made me very sad. I enjoyed doing absolutely nothing up there and being in touch with nature. I hope one day, I can do this again, it would be a dream of mine. Actually, I'd love to live this way.

Here's a little snippet from my psychic protection book about psychic protection in the city we live in, it's an interesting read and I'm sure many of you will benefit from it's content.

When in a crowded city or any place where there are lots of people, our subtle senses and auras are continually under assault. We all know that strangers can indeed be a physical threat, but instinctively we react against what is unseen - the thoughts and feelings of anyone unfamiliar. For this reason people on public transport avoid eye contact. Being forced into such close proximity, people 'close down' by not looking. While this is a form of protection, it can also make you feel lonely and isolated.

In small towns it is considered quite acceptable to say "hello" to strangers walking dogs and to smile at people in the street. But this sort of behaviour is not common in cities. If you are used to life in a big city, you will intuitively have evolved ways of dealing with this. However, you may not be aware of the toll it is taking on you.

city behaviour

When on a train or bus or any other public place, cross your arms and legs. This is an old sign of protection. Turn your mind inwards and dwell on pleasant thoughts, happy memories, people you love and bright plans for the future. Remember your protective bubble and form this before going out. When it is properly in place, see it grow 'spikes' - not sharp spikes designed to cause injury, but little electric protuberances that will warn off anything harmful on any level.

Naturally, if you are in a crowded place, your auric space will be invaded, so affirm that your protective auric bubble bends inwards to accommodate this, remaining intact, and springs back out as soon as there is space. Please remember to reabsorb the energies of your 'bubble' as soon as you feel safe, otherwise there will be a barrier between you and others, even in regard to good things, like loving and caring. When you get home after being exposed to lots of strangers, have a bath or shower and visualize and affirm that you are 'washing off' negative energies.

a magic circle for safety

For extra protection, make yourself a herbal sachet. If you are good at sewing, make it in the form of a magic circle or square, since either of these shapes suggest balance and completeness. Otherwise, a circle of felt tied up as a bag with ribbon or string will do! The herbs should have a smell that pleases you, so that you can sniff it in order to change your mood. Choose blue felt for peace, green for healing and soothing brown for solidity and security or orange for cheering and heartening.

You could include lavender for peace, orange peel for a boost, rosemary for clear thought and mustard seed to give a psychic kick to anything nasty. Assemble all your materials within your protective magic circle and make your sachet whilst thinking positive thoughts - play music if it helps. Ask your deity to bless your sachet and carry it with you whenever you need to feel safe in a crowded place.
