natural health

If you ever need a good health magazine to read, look no further than Australian Natural Health. It's everything mind, body and spirit. It's packed with awesome stuff. Recently, Jessica Ainscough, a friend of a friend who has totally changed her lifestyle and beat cancer and has undoubtedly opened the eyes of thousands of people through her wondrous blog 'The Wellness Warrior' was featured in this very magazine. Now she's a Holistic Health Coach, well done to you Jess girl. I'm totally addicted to this magazine. Jessica would be happy to know that featured in this issue (which I'm sure you've already gone and bought) is a tried and tested story on colon cleansing. AHHHHH did I just say that? It's interesting stuff. But of course, talking about 'going to the bathroom', especially in western society has always been quite an embarrassing and taboo topic!

There's also an awesome lifestyle story on "Chasing Your Dream" - this is something I've been personally drawn to for a long time. I know I have a life purpose. Being born with a knowing of others hasn't always been easy. I hid behind it for a long time. But I am meant to heal. I honestly believe I could ditch the day job (and I'm not talking about motherhood!!) and work as a healer. It's near. It's so close I could touch it. It's amazing what life throws at you. The time is near to start doing these courses in natural therapies and psychic development. But (and there is a but), my 3 and 1 year old need me right now. 100% - there's no question there. I will indeed look back and know I was present in their lives when they're young. My time will come.

Only yesterday, I walked around Chemist Warehouse and looked at the mountainous bottles of vitamins on every shelf. There's pretty much a cure for anything. You're tired, take this. You've got a low sex drive, take this. You've got PMS, take this. It was information overload. Then I open this ever so awesome magazine today and what pops up, 12 ways to boost your energy levels. Did you realise that eating the right food, getting a massage, sitting outside, exercising and letting go of the past will actually boost those energy levels? So...ditch the housework, ditch worrying about everything and chillax a bit, I know I lie down on the floor with the kids almost every day, for a couple of hours and be totally and utterly present with them. Life is so rushy these days with so many people. Life is way too short to not look after yourself.
